“Local” bike rides are held several days a week in the Pathum Thani area on the west side of the Chao Phraya River. Most riders ride mountain bikes, however there are a couple of cross-bikes that do join. We ride our bikes from Nichada Thani to the Pak Kret pier and take the ferry across the river (it’s the tradition, 5 Baht per rider and we take turns paying). Then we cycle out into the countryside, often visiting different wats (temples) along the way. As long as it is dry, we ride quite a bit of offroad/rice field trails but when it is rainy, we are confined to the paved/concreted roads. Please visit our Facebook page Pathum Thani Jakayan’s and sign up!
Here is a brief summary of our rides…..
