The Bangkok International Comedy Competition

The Comedy Den Pakkret is hosting The Bangkok International Comedy Competition this year, an annual event where stand up comedians from all over the world compete.
Location:
*The Comedy Den Pakkret in the Nichada Club Function Room, Aug 30 & 31 at 7PM.
*The Continent Hotel Bangkok on Asok – Sukhumvit, Sept 1, 8PM.
24 comedians from all over the world have been selected to compete for 1500USD in prizes and performance spots at some of the best comedy clubs in the world such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and New York City.
The competition takes place on 3 days; 2 Days for the Preliminary Rounds and 1 day for the Final Round.
12 comedians in each Preliminary Round and 3 selected from each round by judges to compete in the Final Round which makes it 6 comedians in that round and only 3 are selected by judge for the top 3 prizes (1st place and 2nd place winning cash prizes: 1st place – 1000USD and 2nd place – 500USD)
The comedians competing this year come from USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Scotland, Russia, Japan, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, and Kenya.
One of the headliners performing is American star comedian Paul Morrissey who is best known for his appearances on The Lettermann Show.
Preliminary Rounds take place at The Comedy Den Pakkret located at the Nichada Club Function Room, Nichada Thani, Pakkret – Nonthaburi. Aug 30 (Thurs) – 31 (Fri), 7PM.
Final Round takes place on the 33rd floor of The Continent Hotel Bangkok on Asok – Sukhumvit. Sept 1 (Sat), 8PM.

2 Day Ticket – Prelim: 2000THB
3 Day Ticket – Prelim/Final: 2500THB
1 Day Ticket – Final: 600THB (Early Bird), 800THB (Door)
